And I realized that my dominion is not the high places of intellectual discourse or the places of unreachable privilege, but the ground.

And it is the source of my exhaustion and my exhilaration, my glue and my undoing, the place of my humanity and my coldness, the place where I am open and shut down. The people are my knowledge and my ignorance, the source of my power and my weakness, my clarity and my lack of sure footedness, my resistance and my taking another step with open arms…learning as I go.
